RAWeb webfeed

Using the webfeed (to put apps in client Start Menu)
A requirement of webfeed is that the web server which hosts RAWeb must be running HTTPS. This involves some basic configuration of IIS, and some messing about with certificates. Setting up HTTPS and certificates in IIS is beyond the scope of this document. Please Google it if you require more information.

On the client PC (Win 7 or 8), go to Control Panel > RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.

Click Set up a new connection with RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.
Enter the URL to the webfeed.asp file on your HTTPS web server. eg https://7box.home.local/webfeed.asp

Click next and finish the wizard.

Check the client Start Menu.

If you want a custom icon displayed for an app, put an ICO file into c:\inetpub\wwwroot\icon with the same name as the rdp file eg. Outlook2010.rdp would need an icon called Outlook2010.ico.
